Flip The Switch For Conservation!

Do you want to make a difference in the world?

Well, we know a class that’s done just that!

In Mrs.Brown’s 4th grade class, we were learning about types of natural resources and conservation. We were looking at the effects of water pollution and the students were making connections. All of the sudden Mrs. Brown shared a thought that she had in her head for a long time, and the class agreed and thought it was a great idea! Her idea was to print paper that was in the shape of a light bulb and it was to remind staff and students to save energy and to turn off the lights when you’re not using them. To make it fun, we had catchy quotes likeFlip the switch, just giving you a tip!” and “Give yourself a boost and flip the switch when not in use.” Once they were complete, we had them laminated so they would last a long time.  They have found their way to all of the offices and many of the classrooms on our campus, so if you are at Kreinhop, look for our creative conservation creations!
